Leading American experts of BRIDGES, with the support of “UPL Ukraine” and “Agrosvit”, held a webinar on the importance and application of sulfur in the nutrition of agricultural crops. Specialists from partner companies shared their own experience with the participants in the application of sulfur. The online event brought together 180 participants - agronomists, managers and heads of agricultural companies in Ukraine.
Webinar speakers: Harold Watters – Doctor of Agronomy Sciences, Head of the Modern Agronomist BRIDGES Program, Practicing Agronomist-Consultant (Ohio State University, USA); Frederick Vocasek – Senior Agronomist, Soil Fertility Expert, Expert of the BRIDGES Modern Agronomist Program (Soil Testing Laboratory, Kansas, USA); Dmytro Stratievsky – Head of Sales and Marketing Department, UPL Ukraine; Serhiy Kharus – Product Manager for Fungicides, Biostimulants and Pesticides, UPL Ukraine.
During the webinar experts emphasized the importance of sulfur in the nutrition of plants, as it participates in the formation of amino acids, proteins, and oils, is indispensable for photosynthesis, and also plays an important role in the synthesis and activation of enzymes and vitamins. American and Ukrainian experts shared practical research and experience in the use of sulfur in agricultural production. Many interesting topics were also actively discussed during the question-and-answer session.
