PRESENTATION OF THE MANUAL ON ESTABLISHING PESTICIDE MRLs IN UKRAINE

On August 30, 2021, Dr. Janie Dubois, Director of the International Food Safety Training Laboratory, USA, presented online the Manual on Establishing Pesticide MRLs in Ukraine developed within the joint initiative of USDA/FAS and BRIDGES.
Dr. Dubois went over the structure of the document, highlighted the major points and demonstrated how to use the manual to the attendees: management and employees of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection, Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Healthcare, representatives of the Medved's Institute of Ecohygiene and Toxicology.

Dr. Janie Dubois
Dr. Janie Dubois holds a PhD from McGill University in Montreal, Canada, and started her career at the National Research Council Canada. Dr. Dubois held a post at the US FDA's Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition, and worked in the private sector for 8 years before joining the University of Maryland in 2011 where she helped establish the International Food Safety Training Laboratory (IFSTL). She is the Director of the IFSTL network and is an international consultant specializing in laboratory capacity for food safety.
